Donald T. Pascal
Don Pascal is the Founder and Managing Partner of Moonrise Capital, a global venture capital solutions provider. Prior to forming Moonrise Capital, Mr. Pascal served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Commonfund Capital Inc. ("CCI"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Commonfund. Mr. Pascal also served on the CCI Investment Committee. From 1998 to 2016, Mr. Pascal led or co-led the most recent eight CCI venture capital programs and performed work on manager sourcing, manager due diligence and portfolio construction. Mr. Pascal played a key role in the CCI venture program evolution from a domestic to global focus and sponsored the opening of CCI's Beijing, China office. Prior to joining CCI, Mr. Pascal worked from 1985 to1998 in a series of investment vehicles sponsored by Louis Marx, Jr.. Mr. Pascal's earlier experience includes analyst positions at Warburg Pincus and Strategic Planning Associates. Mr. Pascal graduated with a B.S.E. from Princeton University in 1981.
Ann L. Chu
Ann Chu is the Chief Financial Officer at Moonrise Capital. Prior to joining Moonrise Capital, Ms. Chu was the Corporate Controller of Commonfund and its subsidiaries from 2005 to March 2016. Prior to Commonfund, Ms. Chu was Vice President of Finance and Operations at TDA Capital Partners, formerly known as Templeton Direct Advisors, a private equity and venture capital boutique. Prior to TDA, Ms. Chu was the Corporate Controller of Kenmar, a commodity pool operator and commodity trading advisor. At the asset management businesses of Morgan Stanley & Co. and Chase Manhattan, Ms. Chu was responsible for conducting reviews of third party service providers including fund accounting and administration, custody and transfer agent for these respective organization's sponsored offshore funds. Ms. Chu has 9 years of combined audit and tax experience at Deloitte and PriceWaterhouse. Ms. Chu graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University in 1985 and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in New York.
SOBHON KHAIRY
Sobhon Khairy is a Senior Associate at Moonrise Capital. Prior to his role at Moonrise, Mr. Khairy was a Venture Associate at SeedInvest in New York, where he built relationships with startup founders, conducted due diligence, and structured early-stage venture deals across various industries. Prior to SeedInvest, Mr. Khairy was a Research Analyst at Pilot44 Labs in San Francisco, a corporate innovation consultancy that enables Fortune 100 enterprises to innovate through startup partnerships, pilots, and investment. Mr. Khairy graduated from Tufts University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Economics.
